Before you send it
Three things worth knowing
This is a sworn statement
You're asserting under penalty of perjury that you own the work and believe its use is unauthorized. Only send it if that's true.
Your contact info is usually shared
Most platforms forward your name and address to the person you're reporting, as part of due process. Use business details if you have them.
Screenshot before you send
Pages disappear once their owner is notified. Capture a timestamped screenshot of the infringing page before you file.

Need the exact filing steps for a specific platform?
The generator produces the notice text. Some platforms need more than that, page-level URLs, a specific report type, an account. The full guides cover it.

Frequently asked questions
Is this a real, legally valid DMCA notice?
The generator produces a notice containing the elements 17 U.S.C. Section 512(c)(3) requires: identification of the work, identification of the infringing material, your contact information, a good faith statement, and an accuracy statement under penalty of perjury. It's a template, not legal advice, and you're responsible for what you sign and send.
Does anything I type get sent to a server?
No. The notice is generated entirely in your browser using JavaScript. Nothing you type into this form is transmitted anywhere, logged, or stored. Refresh the page and it's gone.
Do I need to register my copyright first?
No. Copyright exists automatically the moment you create an original work. Registration is only relevant if a dispute ends up in court, which is rare for a typical marketplace or social media takedown.
Where do I actually send this?
Select the platform in the form above and the tool links you straight to their official report form or DMCA contact email, plus the full step-by-step filing guide for that platform if you want the exact required fields.
